Internationally recognised standards are a clear guarantee for us, our customers and our colleagues that we are not only following the principles set out by law, but that we are following a sustainable path for our planet and all creatures on it. Each system and the resulting policies confirm the high level of process setup at Wistron. We focus on occupational safety, environmental protection and respect for human rights. RBA – Responsible Business Alliance
Wistron is a proud member of the Responsible Business Alliance, whose members are committed to taking the utmost care of their employees, as well as all actors in the production chain who are directly and indirectly affected by the business. The certification focuses on the areas of human rights, health and safety, environment, ethics and management systems. Our policy at Wistron is thus to fulfil the principles of sustainability and social responsibility. We support the rights and interests of our stakeholders, adhere to ethical standards that go beyond the legal requirements in our country, and develop quality and environmentally friendly products and services with respect for the environment, health and safety of our employees.
ISO 14001 – Environmental Management System
At Wistron, we are doing everything we can to reduce the environmental impact of production to the greatest extent possible under this standard. We are continuously innovating to reduce energy consumption in our building, acquiring low-energy equipment or improving energy efficiency. And if energy consumption can no longer be reduced, we draw on renewable energy sources. We also play an active role in climate protection and biodiversity conservation – for example, by planting greenery every year. Of course, reducing waste and recycling it with precision is also a priority for us. We therefore all educate ourselves regularly so that we can do our part to protect the environment as individuals.
ISO 14064 – Greenhouse Gases
This standard tells us exactly how to measure greenhouse gas production. At Wistron, we carefully track all the activities that are responsible for generating them – electricity, gas, heat, refrigerants, waste and wastewater treatment, and all the transport of our employees and products. From the data we collect, we then calculate our carbon footprint, which we try to reduce as much as possible. By implementing innovations, we save individual resources and minimise the production of greenhouse gases. In doing so, we contribute to environmental protection and the conservation of primary resources, because we care about ecology.
ISO 50001 – Energy Management
At Wistron, we use the international ISO 50001 standard for energy efficiency to provide a structured approach to optimising energy efficiency, reducing energy costs and minimising negative environmental impacts. By implementing an ISO 50001 energy management system, we are able to systematically identify and implement measures to reduce energy consumption, improve energy performance and demonstrate our commitment to sustainable business. This standard is not just for large enterprises; it is designed to be accessible and beneficial to organisations of all types and sizes.
QC 080000 – Hazardous Substances Process Management
This standard deals with the management and handling of hazardous substances. At Wistron, we pay attention to the entire life cycle of our products – from cradle to disposal. It is during disposal in particular that hazardous substances can have the greatest impact on the environment. It is therefore essential that we have a detailed overview of the materials from which the product is made. With respect to the environment, we therefore carefully select suppliers who must meet our criteria for zero use of restricted and prohibited materials and substances. By using the right materials in our products, we minimize the negative impact on the environment.
ISO 45001 – Health and Safety Management System
This International Standard covers the requirements for ensuring health and safety at work. At Wistron, we know how fragile human health is and it is our policy to protect it as much as possible by continuously improving the safety of our workplaces. We are all involved in actively seeking out potential risks and hazards. By implementing preventive measures and safety training for our employees, we succeed in eliminating and preventing work-related accidents and illnesses. The health of our employees, temporary workers and all visitors is our top priority.
ISO 9001 – Quality Management System
Quality management sets up individual processes, manages their inputs and outputs, assesses risks and introduces measures, sets goals and plans to achieve them. The most important processes of a quality system include production planning, supplier selection and material purchasing, production processes, quality controls at several levels, customer satisfaction monitoring, careful management of documentation and human resources, rigorous internal audits, as well as metrology. Following this standard, it is our policy at Wistron to produce and deliver defect-free, competitive products and services to our customers in a timely manner.
ISO 27001 – Information Security Management System
Especially in today’s turbulent times, information is increasingly at risk and data protection is more important. Procedures for handling sensitive data are defined in the Information Security Management System Standard. Our policy at Wistron is thus to achieve maximum data protection through well-defined procedures. Through strict prevention, application of safeguards and thorough training, we are able to meet the standard and protect sensitive personal data of employees, customers, partners and information about our products and manufacturing processes. We also make sure that only people who are authorized to handle specific information have access to it.
CSR - Corporate Social Responsibility
Social responsibility is important to us at Wistron and is one of the fundamental pillars on which we build our business. We believe that a responsible approach to our business is not just a matter of one-off initiatives, but a long-term commitment to our environment and society. Our activities are focused on protecting the environment, supporting communities and creating a positive and inspiring work environment for our employees. We care not only about the environment, but also the people who live in it. We help those whose life has not been as fortunate. That’s why Wistron financially supports a number of charitable projects, and our employees also volunteer.

Employer of the region up to 500 employees
🥇 In 2024, we won 1st place in the prestigious Pluxee Employer of the Year competition in the South Moravian region in the category of up to 500 employees. We thus surpassed last year’s success, when we managed to win 2nd place in the same category.
We are very happy about this award, because the competition among employers is huge. However, it is also our commitment to continue building a pleasant environment for our employees in the future.
HR Project
In 2023, we won the prestigious Award for the best HR project. At the competition, we showcased our long-term commitment to being a forward-thinking employer and introduced the #wearewistron project: caring for employees and supporting the local community. 💚
In it, we mentioned, for example, the building of our modern kindergarten, the support of families with children, the customized setting of hours and workload for our employees, the building of a playground that is open to people from the surrounding area, company clubs and workshops, and the Amazonia meeting and relaxation place at our production site.
Health promoting enterprise
🏆 Since 2023, we have been a proud holder of the Health Promoting Company award. We are well aware that a healthy employee = happy employee = happy employer. To promote health, we regularly supply our employees with vitamins and fruit, we have an in-house gym, we practice yoga, we subsidise multisport cards and we also occasionally have a sweet treat.
But we do not forget about mental health either, so in case of any ailment, our employees can contact the free first aid line headed by psychologist MUDr. Jana Peclova. Many of us sometimes find ourselves in a difficult situation and the advice of a professional in the right place is priceless.
Wooden building of the year - interiors
In the heart of our production hall, we built a modern wooden meeting and relaxation place called Amazonia. In 2023 it was successful in the Wooden Building of the Year competition, where it came 2nd in the jury vote in the wooden interiors category. The jury was particularly impressed by the combination of the wooden building and the production hall.
German Design Award 2024
We strive to create a pleasant and welcoming environment for our employees. Our work has been recognised by the Amazonia project winning the German Design Award, where the jury particularly appreciated the innovative idea of combining a wooden meeting and relaxation place full of greenery with the production hall.
Iconic Awards - interior
Our wooden meeting and relaxation place Amazonia, located in the heart of the production hall, won the prestigious German Iconic Awards 2023: Innovative Architecture in the Workplace category. Organised by the German Design Council, the competition recognised that a production hall does not have to be a boring, noisy and unwelcoming place where employees feel uncomfortable. Amazonia is full of life, meetings, workshops, events, innovative technologies, but also lush greenery. 🌳
BIG SEE Wood Design Award
In 2023, our wooden meeting and relaxation place Amazonia won the BIG SEE Wood Design Award. It recognizes unique and original creative achievements in architecture, interior design and wood around the world.
Partner of the project Get ready Brno
We have signed a Memorandum of long-term cooperation on the commitment of the Statutory City of Brno to adaptation to climate change. In doing so, we aim to mitigate the production of greenhouse gases and reduce our carbon footprint.
