CSR: We care about
our surroundings
Whether it’s the health of our team or the people we don’t see every day on our way to work, we above all want to take care of them. That is why at Wistron you’ll find a broad variety of activities that make the world around us a better place.
Yoga for your health
A sound mind in a sound body. We offer everyone in Wistron the opportunity to stretch their body and comfort their soul. Always once a week and free of charge. Plus, we’ll even lend you yoga mats.
We protect the weak
At Wistron, we don’t forget the people who have been less fortunate in life. We know that not everyone is blessed with good health and financial stability. That is why we help in several areas. We regularly support palliative care at the St. Elizabeth’s Hospice or the Lucky Drásov para-vaulting team, and our help went out e.g. to the children’s charity Klokánek, the House for Julia, the Homeless People Charity and the Guide Dog Association.
We take care of animals
We also care about the creatures that share the planet with us. We have adopted a polar bear, a red panda and a Patagonian mara from the Brno Zoo, thus contributing to their food for the whole year. We also regularly support animal shelters in our area. Our contributions went for example to the Tibet shelter and the Pamír association, which take care of old or abused horses.
Help to people of Ukraine
We have heavy thoughts about the war in Ukraine and the fate of all those affected by it. We employ people who had to flee their homeland and find themselves in a foreign country with no knowledge of the language and no resources.
Children above all
We want each generation to be a little bit better than the one before. Just as we are constantly improving the generations of our products. But we also take care of children and parents directly. We organize a family day for our employees, we are involved in the events called Santa for autistic people or Shoeboxes for children from underprivileged families. We take pride in our relationship with the local community, which is why we have built an outdoor playground that is accessible not only to the children of our employees, but also to families in the general public.

We all like to breathe fresh air. We wish to return the calm soothing green to the landscape, which connects us historically to the nature. Whether the people from the Wistron team get involved directly, or whether we together send money, each new green leaf counts.

Workshops
We organize workshops that literally anyone can participate in, regardless of their profession. Whether it is the making of Advent Crowns, mindfulness, the InBody body composition measurement, a feedback workshop, Chinese calligraphy, cancer prevention from the Loono organization, or workshops on snake and spider breeding. There’s something for everyone.
Employee events
There is no party like a Wistron party. For the whole afternoon we could forget our worries and work, we danced to the DJ’s beats and had fun with a plethora of attractions. We would love to do it again. Besides that, we also had a great time at Christmas. The party at the Brno Market Hall on Zelný Trh square was a thing to remember. Lots of great food and plenty to drink, two DJs, a selection of the rum bar or mixed drinks. In short, plenty of fun for the year’s end.
Charity markets
Not everyone had good fortune in life. Seasonal events
To be able to get really close to your colleagues, you need to spend some time together outside of work. Talk about topics you don’t normally come across. To gain experiences that are worth revisiting.
That is why we organize various seasonal events, where stories and memories are made. Like the autumn taste of salted caramel, apple and cinnamon. Or the pumpkin carving contest.
Other
In our company we care about healthy lifestyle and care for the environment. Therefore, after work we organize activities for our employees in the field of sports and environmental topics.
We share the planet
and take care of it
Technology and nature are not enemies. On the contrary. Thanks to constant innovation, we are able to protect the nature better every year and save it from the adverse effects of the industry. But we know that this alone is not enough. That is why we’re trying to look after the health of our planet in a more direct manner.
Green energy and energy saving
We at Wistron also use energy from renewable sources. Last year, we purchased 2.100 MWH of green energy generated in the Czech Republic. A significant innovation for greater sustainability is the use of the heat generated by testing of server racks. These need to be cooled while running. We use the resulting warm air to heat the production hall and save on additional heating.
Waste sorting
In Wistron we give maximum support to recycling. And truly this is not a mere catchphrase. In addition to strict recycling policy in production we also motivate all our employees to recycle. Besides the necessary bins for plastics and paper, there are also containers for bio-waste all around the company premises.

Ride your bike to work
The industrial zone where we are located is further away from the city center. This makes us all even more keen to encourage everyone in Wistron to do their part to protect our air. Many of us regularly get on our bikes instead of in our cars. They save the air from pollutants and do something for one’s health. Wistron motivates us – for example, the entry fee for the famous Bike to Work challenge will be paid for all those who are interested.
